GLIDE Postdoctoral Researcher in the Ethics of Pandemic Preparedness, Surveillance and Response

Applications are invited for a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher to conduct advanced collaborative and independent research on ethical issues in pandemic preparedness, surveillance and response.

This exciting position will be based within the Ethox Centre, an internationally recognised multidisciplinary bioethics research centre and a vibrant and intellectually exciting place to work. The role will be part of the Global Infectious Disease Ethics Collaborative (GLIDE) with the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute for Bioethics, and it will offer the opportunity to work closely with the newly established University of Oxford Pandemic Sciences Centre. A key element of the role will be participation in the exchange programme with Johns Hopkins University, including at least one extended academic visit at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

To be considered you will hold PhD or DPhil in a bioethics, medical ethics, or other relevant subject and have experience of publishing in peer-reviewed journals. You will also have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.
