Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard (MRCT Center)
seeks applicant for an instructor, assistant, or associate faculty position
The Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard (MRCT Center) is a research and policy center created to address the conduct, oversight, ethics, and regulatory environment of clinical research, with a focus on multi-site, multi-national clinical trials. Functioning as an independent convener to engage diverse stakeholders from industry, academia, patients/patient advocates, nonprofits, and regulatory agencies, the MRCT Center creates multidisciplinary teams to identify challenges in clinical research and deliver ethical, actionable, and practical solutions for the global clinical trial enterprise. The MRCT Center is within the Division of Global Health Equity in Department of Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and is directed by Barbara Bierer MD, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Candidates with an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent may be considered. The candidate is expected to have several years of experience in a field related to regulatory science, research policy, ethics, or equivalent. Applicants should have excellent research experience, a significant publication record, and teaching or mentorship expertise.
Appointment at the appropriate academic rank, Instructor or Assistant Professor, at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements. The successful candidate will collaborate and provide guidance in ongoing Center projects, build their independent program, secure external funding over time, and engage in teaching and mentoring students and trainees at the Center, the division, and the medical school.
