The Georgetown Howard Center for Medical Humanities and Health Justice in DC is a newly launched collaborative endeavor between Georgetown and Howard. The Center will focus on reducing health disparities in Washington through leveraging methods of critical inquiry at the heart of the humanities.

Reporting to the Executive Directors, the Director of Research and Public Policy for the Center will be an integral research and policy leader. The director will play a key role in developing the Center’s research priorities in collaboration with academic and community partners, ensuring the smooth operations of the Center’s interdisciplinary research labs, steering grantsmanship, and leading the charge on timely health humanities and health policy debates in the District. The Director will work closely with the Center’s Chief of Staff and will launch projects and programming that advance the Center’s mission and goals.
