The debate continues as to whether or not Homo floresiensis is really “human” on NPR. Some of the scientists in this debate are arguing that it is the structure of the brain that makes these close cousins of ours “human”; but latest advances in neuroimaging suggest that it isn’t the structure, but rather the complexity of the brain that distinguishes humans. Stay tuned… I’m sure this is not the end of the discussion.
