Community-based pragmatic clinical trials (PCTs) are increasingly being used to evaluate interventions under real-world conditions. These PCTs raise new ethical questions regarding broader responsibilities to assist or benefit members of the community in which research is conducted. Speakers will discuss findings from a mixed-methods study that explored 1) to whom researchers have obligations and 2) the factors that determine the scope of these obligations.
