The Department of Philosophy at Baylor University seeks to make a full-time regular appointment at the Associate or Full Professor rank. Area of Specialization: Bioethics; area of competence: Open. The term of service begins in the Fall semester of 2024. Expectations for this position include: teaching and mentoring students at the graduate and undergraduate levels, a significant research and publication agenda, a willingness to pursue appropriate grant funding opportunities in collaboration with an interdisciplinary bioethics research cluster at Baylor, collegial involvement in the department’s programs and activities and support for Baylor’s Christian mission.
Candidates should possess an earned doctorate and a record of scholarship, teaching and service commensurate with the expectations for this position at the Associate or Full rank. Successful candidates will also have a history of faith community engagement and commitment to active membership in a local church or synagogue.
