Wellstar Health System's Ethics Program is growing again and we are recruiting 2.5 Clinical Ethicists to work in our Augusta region. The Ethicists will join a large ethics program consisting of 11 Full time Clinical Ethicists and a robust clinical ethics fellowship. These new team members will be active members working in our new region consisting of a large academic adult medical center, a children's hospital, a new community hospital. The new teams members will join the group in promoting ethics education and policy review, as well as integration efforts in the Augusta region. The Ethics Program at Wellstar enjoys robust institutional support and is a fully integrated, collaborative approach to addressing clinical ethical issues. These new team members will report directly to the Assistant Vice President of Ethics, Advance Care Planning and Spiritual Health.
Qualified candidates will possess at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited undergraduate university/college with Master’s degree in applicable field, (with preference for those with advanced degrees in ethics or related field). Must have demonstrated knowledge of principles, concepts and methods involved in clinical ethics and clinical ethics consultation. Prior work performing clinical ethics consultation, education and policy development is preferred.
