Banner Health is hiring 3 (yes, count ‘em 3!) new ethicists to join our clinical ethics team! Our consult service was started in 2019, expanded to 3 full time ethicists in 2023, and is rapidly growing. We are strongly supported by clinicians and leadership. We have an experienced, welcoming team that is looking for the right fit to help us continue to develop our program.
We have opportunities for both junior and senior positions with competitive salaries and benefits. We are looking for candidates with strong consult skills to work in a fast-paced high-volume service that that performs over 900 consults annually across 2 academic medical centers, 30 additional hospitals, and numerous associated outpatient services. These positions will also include rounding, screening, education, and on call responsibilities.

We are currently hiring for three positions based at Phoenix facilities which include:
• Banner University Medical Center Phoenix – A 750+ bed academic medical center associated with the University of Arizona College of Medicine in downtown Phoenix.
• Banner Boswell, Banner Del Webb, and Banner Estrella – Boswell and Del Webb are a 500+ bed and 400+ bed pair of hospitals located on the Western edge of the Phoenix metro area servicing the second largest 55+ community in the US. Banner Estrella is a 300+ bed hospital on the West side of Phoenix servicing a mixed urban, suburban, and rural population.
• Banner Thunderbird and Banner Desert – Banner Thunderbird is a 590+ bed level 1 trauma center on the west side of Phoenix and Banner Desert is a 600+ bed level 1 trauma center on the east side of Phoenix with an attached Children’s hospital. Both these hospitals each have a full-time ethicist and we are looking for an additional ethicist to provide support to both.
