Leads the regional ethics committee, consultation service, policy, and education. Champions a real-time, high quality, and multi-disciplinary ethics consultation service across the region. Expands educational opportunities in the region for team members on ethical practice and consultation. Serves an integral role in partnership with the Department of Clinical and Organizational Ethics (DCOE) and the Fairbanks Center for Medical Ethics (FCME). Expands upon work relating to preventative and organizational ethics, Unit Based Ethics Conversations (UBECs) and research. Utilizes the resources from DCOE to maintain a measurable quality monitoring system for ethics consultation. Continues to grow the work of organizational ethics as a member of leadership across the region, especially in areas needing expanded services in ethics.
Requires 3-5 years of clinical ethics experience.
HEC-C (certification) completion or eligibility with willingness to complete within one year of hire date.
Advance degree (Masters, required/Doctorate, preferred) in a field consistent with the work of ethics (philosophy, education, MD, MSN, DNP, JD, MDiv, or related.)
