Dracopoulos-Bloomberg iDeas Lab Fellowship Program Description:
The iDeas Lab, set up in 2022 is the first Creative Studio and Incubator for world class stories at the intersection of science, ethics, medicine and public health based at the Berman Institute of Bioethics. It is ground-breaking in its approach of engaging scholarship in publicly available compelling projects. The inaugural iDeas Lab Fellowship is a two-year program of study and experiential learning in storytelling in bioethics administered by the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics through the iDeas Lab. We invite qualified applicants to propose their own research projects in the field of public bioethics.

The main goal of the Fellowship is to launch the careers of the next generation of public bioethics scholars, so the program offers a considerable amount of protected time for research and publication.

The iDeas Lab Fellow will participate in weekly seminars or discussions, pursue their own scholarship in bioethics, and collaborate with faculty on selected projects in public bioethics. The Fellow will design an individual program tailored to her or his particular goals, interests, and background.

The iDeas Lab Postdoctoral Fellow will have access to a wide range of benefits and activities in multiple schools at Johns Hopkins, including:
• Weekly seminars, presentations and discussions with leading academic and policy makers;
• Individualized research program;
• Bioethics coursework through the Berman Institute’s Master in Bioethics program;
