The Biomedical Ethics Research Program at Mayo Clinic seeks GREP applicants for a post-baccalaureate research experience in empirical bioethics research. Students will participate in educational activities and conduct bioethics research in a mentored environment.

The Biomedical Ethics GREP program is designed for individuals who have completed a bachelor’s degree and plan to attend graduate school, law school or medical school. In addition to conducting bioethics research, GREP students are eligible to take graduate-level courses through the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and shadow clinicians in nearly every area of the clinic. This paid position is ideal for students interested in a “gap year” between their undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Following this program, past GREP students matriculated into top medical and laws schools throughout the U.S.

Up to three candidates will be selected for the 2023-2024 academic year. One position is open immediately; applications will be reviewed as they come in. The other two positions would start mid- to late summer 2023 with an application deadline of February 7.
