Job Summary:
Will provide research and editorial assistance to all faculty of the Center. Responsibilities include: Assist with editorial tasks for the Center’s literary journal, including corresponding with authors, work to get journal placed, track submissions, proofread and copy edit. Gather and synthesize background information on topics in medicine, bioethics, law, health policy and the medical humanities. Conduct literature searches, assist with manuscript preparation, and manage data acquisition for research studies. Occasional general office assistance. Opportunities include attending bioethics & humanities seminars and working closely with Center faculty in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; excellent computer and written/oral communication skills, demonstrated scholarly work or research in bioethics, medical humanities, or closely related fields, and evidence of ability to perform library and web-based research required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies; experience with website design/development.
