The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking an experienced Clinical Ethics Program Manager to manage the operational and strategic aspects of the Center’s robust clinical ethics services at our affiliate partners at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center and Houston Methodist Hospital. The Center has one of the largest and highest volume clinical ethics programs in the country. The successful candidate will work closely with Center leadership, faculty program directors, and affiliate partners of our clinical ethics service lines to advance and accomplish the overall mission and goals of the programs.
This is an ideal position for someone with a professional interest in bioethics and/or clinical ethics program administration. This candidate will also contribute to the Center’s innovative medical ethics and health policy education programs.

Job Duties
• Ensure efficient daily operations for clinical ethics faculty and fellows performing consultation services at multiple affiliate facilities.
• Together with faculty program directors and Center leadership, develop plans for short-term and long-term success by translating goals into program specific objectives and priorities.
• Oversee Center clinical ethics and health policy training programs (courses, fellowship, conferences and Grand Rounds).
• Advance the Center’s education mission by implementing quality improvement metrics, identifying growth opportunities, and contributing to strategic initiatives.
• Implement accountability measures, budgets, and timelines to meet established goals.
• Coordinate productivity data organization and reporting at regular intervals.
• Foster collaboration within BCM and affiliate hospital community and develops proposals, budgets, and plans for such projects.
• Participate in process improvement tasks that support the clinical ethics enterprise.
• Organize and prepare decision support data and reports for leadership review.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience Required: Three years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s or advanced degree in health administration or related field
• Experience working in a hospital or related setting
• Knowledge or demonstrated interest in field of bioethics or clinical ethics
• Demonstrated experience in project management, people management, process improvement, planning, and execution
• Knowledge and experience with EPIC, QGenda, REDCap, Power BI database management, or project management software
• Occasional flexibility in scheduling for early morning meetings and after-hours Grand Rounds
• Ability to display a professional, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and communication skills required and must be able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, and strong organizational skills
• Ability to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in accepting work assignments with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues
